LEGAL · TERMS OF SERVICE

Terms of service.

The agreement between Sensible AB and the people and teams who use SpecDeck to write specifications and assign work to AI agents.

Effective August 9, 2026

01 · SCOPEWho these terms cover

These terms are the agreement between Sensible AB (org.nr 559346‑4323, VAT SE559346432301) ("SpecDeck", "we", "us") and you, the person or organization using SpecDeck. By using SpecDeck, you accept these terms.

"You" means the individual using the account. Where a workspace is owned by an organization, "you" also means the people authorized to act for that organization. A workspace admin who clicks accept binds the organization to these terms.

These terms work alongside the Privacy notice, which covers how we handle data. Where the two documents overlap, the Privacy notice governs data handling and these terms govern everything else.

02 · ACCOUNTYour account

To use SpecDeck you need an account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority in your country if that is higher.

  • Accurate info. Use a real name and a working email. Keep account details current.
  • Credentials. Keep passwords and access tokens to yourself. Tell us at security@specdeck.ai if you suspect they were exposed.
  • Workspace admins. If you create or manage a workspace for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
  • One person per account. Don't share sign‑in credentials. Invite teammates as separate members instead.
  • Your activity is your responsibility. Anything done under your account, including by AI agents acting on your behalf, is treated as your activity.

03 · USEAcceptable use

Don't use SpecDeck for anything illegal, abusive, or designed to harm someone. Specifically, don't:

  • Upload illegal content, malware, or material that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate other people.
  • Scrape the site, reverse‑engineer the service, or copy the product to build a competitor.
  • Probe, attack, or attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or another customer's workspace.
  • Resell SpecDeck capacity to third parties without a written agreement with us.
  • Direct an AI agent to do any of the above. You are responsible for what AI agents do under your account.

If we believe your use is causing harm, we may suspend access while we investigate. We will explain why and give you a chance to respond.

04 · CONTENTYour content

You keep ownership of the specs, comments, and other content you put into SpecDeck. You grant Sensible AB a limited, non‑exclusive license to host, process, copy, and display that content for the purpose of operating the service on your behalf.

We do not train models on your workspace content, and we configure our inference provider to disable model training and prompt retention. See the Privacy notice for how prompts and run logs are handled.

You are responsible for the content you upload and for confirming you have the rights to use it. If a third party credibly claims your content infringes their rights, we may remove the content or suspend the related workspace until the claim is resolved.

05 · AIAI features

SpecDeck is built around AI agents. They read specs, propose work, and produce output. A few things worth being explicit about:

  • Review what ships. AI‑generated output can be wrong, incomplete, or biased. You are responsible for reviewing it before merging, deploying, or sharing.
  • Assignment. You assign each goal to an AI agent or a person. When you assign a goal to an AI agent, it may produce output without a per‑step sign‑off. You remain responsible for reviewing changes before you publish, merge, deploy, or share them, and you accept that the spec is the contract.
  • Model providers. When you use an AI feature, the spec and attached context are sent to our inference provider, OpenRouter, which routes the request to the model you chose (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google). Those providers' terms govern what they do with that content.
Plain language

An AI agent acting on your behalf is your responsibility. Treat its output the way you would treat a junior teammate's first draft: useful, often correct, always reviewed before it ships.

06 · BILLINGSubscriptions & billing

SpecDeck offers a free tier and paid plans. Current pricing lives on the Pricing page.

Free
Solo developers and small teams. No card required. Some features and limits differ from paid plans.
Paid
Billed monthly, per seat, in US dollars (USD). Fees are charged in advance and are non‑refundable, except where the consumer right of withdrawal applies. We email a receipt for every charge.
Fair use
Plans described as “unlimited” are subject to reasonable fair‑use limits. For example, workspaces are capped at 10,000 per account.
Taxes
Listed prices exclude VAT. We add Swedish VAT (25%) for customers in Sweden and for EU customers without a valid VAT number. EU businesses with a valid VAT number handle VAT through reverse charge. Consumers always see the VAT‑inclusive total before they pay. Customers outside the EU may be responsible for local taxes.
Refunds
Fees are non‑refundable. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current month. If you are a consumer, the 14‑day right of withdrawal applies regardless of this clause.
Auto‑renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each cycle unless you cancel. Use Cancel subscription under Organization settings → Billing at any time; you keep what you paid for until the period ends.
Plan changes
Seat changes apply from your next billing period — we never charge mid‑period. Adding people never triggers an immediate charge; removing people lowers the next charge.

We may adjust pricing or plan structure over time. Existing paid customers keep their current pricing until the next renewal, and we give at least 30 days' notice before changes take effect.

07 · WITHDRAWALRight of withdrawal (consumers)

If you subscribe as an individual (a consumer), you can withdraw from the subscription contract within 14 days, counted from the day after your subscription starts. You do not need to give a reason.

At checkout you expressly request that we start the service immediately, during the withdrawal period. Because of that, if you withdraw, you pay a proportional amount for the time between the start of your subscription and your withdrawal. We refund the rest within 14 days, to the payment method you paid with.

To withdraw, pick any of these:

  • In the app. Use Withdraw from contract under Organization settings → Billing. The function stays available throughout the withdrawal period, and we confirm receipt by email right away.
  • By email. Write to legal@specdeck.ai with a clear statement that you withdraw from the contract.
  • Standard form. Use the Swedish Consumer Agency's standard withdrawal form (ångerblankett) and send it to the same address.

Withdrawing ends the subscription; your account, workspaces, and data stay available on the free tier. The withdrawal right applies to consumers, not to purchases made for a business.

If we reject a complaint and you disagree, consumers in Sweden can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, arn.se. We participate in ARN proceedings.

08 · SERVICEService availability & changes

We work to keep SpecDeck running smoothly, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. The free tier comes with no uptime guarantee. Paid plans may include specific service levels in a separate addendum.

We add features, change features, and sometimes remove features. For changes that materially reduce existing functionality, we give at least 30 days' notice via email and in‑product, and we make a reasonable replacement available where possible.

Planned maintenance is announced in advance. Significant unplanned outages are reported by email and through in‑product messages.

09 · CONFIDENTIALITYConfidentiality

Each party may share non‑public information with the other in the course of using SpecDeck. The receiving party will treat that information as confidential, use it only to perform under these terms, and protect it with the same care it uses for its own confidential information (and at least reasonable care).

Confidentiality does not apply to information that is already publicly available, was already known to the receiving party, is independently developed without reference to the disclosed information, or must be disclosed by law. Where the law allows, the receiving party will give notice before disclosing.

These obligations survive termination of these terms for three years.

10 · IPIntellectual property

Sensible AB owns SpecDeck, including the software, the brand, the documentation, and everything we created to build the service. Nothing in these terms transfers that ownership to you. You receive a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable right to use SpecDeck during the term.

You own your content. We do not claim any rights in it beyond the limited license described in section 04.

If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant us a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, perpetual license to use them to improve SpecDeck. Feedback is a gift, not a confidential disclosure.

SpecDeck integrates with third‑party AI agents and tools. Their names and logos belong to their respective owners. Showing them on this site does not imply endorsement of SpecDeck by those owners.

11 · TERMINATIONTermination

You can terminate at any time by cancelling from Organization settings → Billing or by asking us to delete your account. We can terminate by giving at least 30 days' notice via email or in‑product.

Either party can terminate immediately for material breach if the other party does not cure the breach within 14 days of written notice. We can also suspend or terminate immediately if we reasonably believe your use is harming the service, other customers, or third parties.

On termination, you can ask us to export your workspace content, and we then remove it. Other categories of data follow the retention schedule in the Privacy notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (confidentiality, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive termination.

12 · DISCLAIMERSDisclaimers & liability

SpecDeck is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sensible AB's total liability under or in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100). Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence applies in addition to these terms.

13 · GOVERNING LAWGoverning law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law principles. The District Court of Stockholm has exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these terms.

If you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence, and mandatory consumer protection law in that country applies to you regardless of this section.

14 · CHANGESChanges to these terms

We update these terms when the service changes, when the law changes, or when we adopt clearer language. For material changes we give at least 30 days' notice via email and in‑product before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

Previous versions are kept on file and available on request. The current version is always linked from the footer.

15 · CONTACTTalk to a human
